What kind of training is included in the Skills Bootcamps?

The training includes front-end + back-end tech skills such as HTML5, Python 3, JavaScript, CSS, Django, and full stack development. It’s practical, project-based, and led live online by experienced trainers.

Is this really free for employers and individuals?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For small businesses, up to 90% of the cost is funded by the UK Government. In many cases, support is available to cover the remaining 10%, making it effectively free. For individuals, the training is completely free. For large businesses (above 250 team members, it is 70% funded).

Question 3

Can our team members take part without disrupting work hours?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The sessions are designed to be delivered remotely and outside regular working hours, making it flexible and easy for employees or contractors to attend without affecting day-to-day operations.

Question 4

Do we need to hire learners from the programme?

Accepted Answer

There’s no obligation, but you’re welcome to hire from a pool of pre-vetted, job-ready candidates who have already completed the Bootcamp. There are no recruitment fees for doing so.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Step8Up is Ofsted-rated and BCS-accredited, ensuring that the quality of training, safeguarding, and outcomes meet national standards.
