Event description

Description

Apprenticeships will help you find and develop the talent your organisation needs. With all employers operating in England with a payroll of over £3 million now required to invest in Apprenticeships, find out how you can lead the way in making the most of this opportunity. Discover how you can develop the capability of your HR and L&D teams using Apprenticeships and also develop your broader understanding of the hottest topic in town so you can provide strategic and operational support in your organisations.

As co-chairs of the L&D/HR Trailblazer Employer Group, Paul Cadman and Emma Horne, will share the latest information on the HR and L&D Apprenticeship Standards and their knowledge and insight on:-

  • How you can build Apprenticeships into your Resourcing/Talent Management/Workforce Planning Strategies

  • Institute for Apprenticeships – what’s its purpose, what does it do, who’s involved and where to go for help

  • Education and Skills Funding Agency – how the levy and Apprenticeship funding works

  • Developing new Apprenticeship Standards - the process, fun, delights, frustrations, lessons learned etc

Paul and Emma will be joined by their own HR Apprentice, Tom Bartlett, who will share his perspective on why he chose an HR Apprenticeship over University, his journey as an Apprentice, and his own recommendations to employers on recruiting and developing their own (HR & L&D) teams through Apprenticeships.
