Effective Practice Seminar: How International Experience of Teaching has Informed my Practice
About this event
In this session we will be hearing from some of our colleagues with International experience of teaching, who will be reflecting upon their time teaching in other countries and considering how this has helped to shape and inform their current practice here at Swansea.
This seminar will be led by staff who all hold a category of HEA Fellowship. HEA Fellowship is supported by SALT through a Swansea University internal programme which is accredited by Advance HE.
The speakers at How International Experience of Teaching has Informed my Practice will be:
Dr. Salim Salim, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering, who had previously worked In Asia, The Middle East and Africa prior to taking up his position here in Swansea
Dr. Marcela Bezdickova, Senior Lecturer in the Graduate Entry Medicine Scheme in The School Of Medicine. Marcella and previously taught Anatomy at Palacky University Olomouc in the Czech republic
Dr Frederica Barbieri, Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics. Federica has previously held teaching positions at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Reading, where she taught a wide range of graduate and undergraduate courses in linguistics and applied linguistics.
