Description

In August 2014, if you opened up your Facebook feed, there was one thing that no-one could escape. The Ice Bucket Challenge. $115M raised, 2.4 million videos created and one question on every fundraiser’s mind: “how do I create my own Ice Bucket Challenge?”

At Chuffed.org, we’ve spent the last four years running thousands of online fundraising campaigns in 27 countries around the world. We can distil down what the difference is between a crowdfunding campaign that succeeds and one that fails.

The answer: the successful campaigns follow a particular process.

In this workshop, we’ll take you through that process and how to apply it to your non-profit.

About the workshop

This 3-hour intensive workshop will focus on one of the most important ingredients of your campaign, carefully crafted content that turns your words into donations.

This workshop is part two of our workshop series. Part one is optional; to enrol in part one, click here.

Here's the schedule:

2:00pm - Introductions and overview of the five key principles of crowdfunding.

3:00pm - Audience targeting: Learn how to use audience personas and other techniques to understand when, where and how to connect with your donors.

3:45pm - Copywriting for digital campaigns: Get everyone to share your campaign by crafting the perfect -battle tested- campaign pitch.

4:30pm - Make it multimedia: Learn the key ingredients and tools you need to use to convert your pitch into different types of media that can be consumed on different socialmedia platforms.

During the event, you’ll get the opportunity to pitch your idea and get feedback from your colleagues in the room. You’ll also get a chance to network with the other participants.

Following the workshop, all participants who start a campaign will be provided with free one on one mentoring session and are invited to join our community of fundraisers for ongoing campaign support.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is designed for individuals or organisations looking to take their understanding of crowdfunding principles to the next level.
