The idea of combining several roles into a "portfolio" career is an attractive one for many people; especially for those who need flexibility. In reality however, piecing together a sustainable portfolio of work is challenging.

Katja Berlinger started her career as lawyer in Switzerland. After an MBA at INSEAD, she joined Chemolio Management, where she was responsible for direct investments. Currently, she is a member of the board of directors of Lipo AG, Swiss Medi Kids Zürich AG, Steinhoff Europe AG and GT Global Trademarks AG.
Larissa Baeuml is originally from Germany and worked as a payments analyst in the online gaming industry based in Gibraltar. She recently completed an Open University degree and is now a portfolio worker combining roles as a freelance translator, social media/community manager and freelance project manager working for clients in the US, Germany, the UK and Spain.
