Event description
Talk by Keith Moseley, Monmouth Astronomical Research Society (MARS)

About this event

Our Sun is just one of the trillions of stars in the universe. It gives life to the Earth, it is there everyday yet it is easy to take for granted. But have you ever stopped to wonder - How does it work? Are other stars like our Sun? If not what are they like - small and peaceful, or large and violent? What makes them the way they are? How long will the Sun be around for and what might happen to it? In this talk reveals the private lives of stars, he reveals their secrets and answers these and many more questions. The talk is aimed at those with no scientific background but is sure to also be interesting to those with some knowledge of astronomy.
