Event description

Description

Though the overall result at this year's GE was a loss, the seat-by-seat results were mixed. To talk of a single campaign, swing and result is to miss critical lessons that can be learned from the wildly different results in different parts of the country and against different parties.

In the interests of building an understanding of what on earth happened, Conservatives for Liberty is assembling a panel of people who know. This will include new MPs who won in places that just a year ago would have seemed impossible, people who we expected to win but did not, and an expert on the national campaign.

This will be a wide-ranging and informative discussion with plenty of participation from the audience as we go beyond the obvious failings of the manifesto and Presidential style campaign to really understand what the hell happened at GE2017.

The event will start at 7pm, and run until 8:30pm in Committee Room 10, House of Commons. You will need to leave plenty of time to get through Parliament's security.
