In this 30-minute session, we will delve into the STEM Ambassadors Programme, which connects you with 28,000 industry and higher education volunteers from across the UK. We'll explore what the programme is, how STEM Ambassadors can volunteer with you, and provide practical guidance on requesting their support. Discover how volunteers can enhance learning within your youth group or community organisation by showcasing practical applications of your focus areas and offering career insights. This session is for all groups who are non-school based i.e. youth groups, uniformed groups like Brownies and Scouts, museums, libraries, or charities that all support young people’s education.

What does a STEM Ambassador do? They change lives and have an amazing time doing it!

STEM skills are increasingly essential, not just for fantastic career opportunities in today’s fast-changing workplace, but life satisfaction, enjoyment and opportunities. We know it. You know it. But not everyone has access to that first initial spark of inspiration. Yet.

Our mission is to empower every young person in the UK to discover, develop and celebrate their skills and potential in STEM. As a not-for-profit organisation, we support a network of thousands of amazing volunteer STEM Ambassadors, bringing real life examples of STEM careers into schools, colleges and universities across the UK. Working with students, teachers, educators, businesses and influencers to break stereotypes and offer engaging activities, together we are inspiring the next generation into the infinite possibilities of STEM pathways.
