On Wednesday 5th February 2020, ExIST (Exeter Initiative for Science & Technology) will be holding its quarterly breakfast event at Sandy Park from 8:30am - 11am focusing on how STEMM businesses can recruit and support future talent in the Greater Exeter area.

Growing a STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine) business can be challenging without having staff with the right skills.

It is more important than ever for businesses to support emerging talent and get young people excited about employment opportunities in the region so that we do not lose talent to more metropolitan areas.

Join us for our first quarterly breakfast event of the year during National Apprenticeship Week for an in-depth overview on skills in the Exeter area and the multiple opportunities available for businesses needing to employee people with STEMM skills.

Stephen is Chief Executive Officer of the The South West Institute of Technology (SWIOT). This Digital and Data Centre at Exeter College has been signed off as part of a wider plan to revolutionise digital, engineering and manufacturing technology education across the region. The new £11million building will be at the heart of the college and located on its Hele Road site in what is great news for the college, city and region.

Tor Walton

Impact and Partnership Development Manager, University of Exeter

Tor's role involves corporate engagement and support for the University of Exeter Business School Degree Apprenticeships.

She will be speaking about Degree Apprenticeship routes and other ways businesses can support and access talent through the university.

Rosie Bates
