Why are the words we choose to use so important? We all know how powerful words can be when they are put in plays, speeches and (dare I say it) song. When people talk to us, the words they choose to use, and the meaning we associate with them, matter to us. They can induce happiness, hurt, pride, anger, embarrassment, joy and any number of other emotions. They can encourage or discourage us, bring clarity or confusion. So how often do we look at how we talk to ourselves? How often do we consider the language we use when talking about ourselves and does it matter?
This workshop will look at how we can change how we talk to ourselves as singers and how this can help us maximise what we achieve with our singing and in our lives.
