About this event

Many artists, designers and creative people would love to turn their creative practice into a professional business and earn a living from what they love doing. But where to start?

This workshop is aimed at creative makers and artists who want to sell to retail, galleries and consumers as well as freelance designers who want to gain clients and know they've covered all the business basics.

It will give creatives who want to work for themselves the tools to figure out whether their business idea is feasible or not and to go forward to the next stage in making the dream a reality.

We will cover:

  • Exploring your why and things to consider
  • Creating a plan of action
  • Researching your market place
  • Thinking about money and finance
  • The day to day running of a creative business
