The workshop provided particular emphasis on break/lunch times being a more harmonious part of the school day; more ownership to the Midday Meals Supervisors for the important role they play in school life, and how - via the use of games and activities - we can build strong relationships with all our children."
~ David Ritchie, Assistant Headteacher, Kings Avenue Primary School, London

Hi, I'm Therese

Best-Selling Author and Leading UK Positive Playtime Expert.

As a teacher, I regularly spent large chunks of precious learning time, resolving playground conflict that spilled over into the classroom. Upset children returned to lessons in an emotional state. Many of them were unable to learn for the rest of the afternoon.

As a school we focused on learning inside the classroom, though not outside in the playground and I was struck by how little training our lunchtime supervisors had.

Chaotic lunchtimes, unstructured playtimes, and lack of co-operative play were harming the well-being and self-esteem of our children.

It’s why I’ve spent the last 20+ years developing ‘How to be a Lunchtime Supervisor Superhero’ training.

I want to help you re-invigorate your playtimes and see your whole school flourish.

"Our recent online training provided by Therese has reinvigorated myself and our team at school. As a small school on the East Coast, we often struggle to have face-to-face training as the cost with travel is too high, the online flexibility of this training made this an cost effective option for us. It allowed staff to engage with via the online platform and also allowed staff who had to work during the time access afterwards. We now have heaps of ideas to refresh our play times and ensure all children are encouraged to play with one another in a purposeful and meaningful way. In addition to the online training, the resources provided will support our school in implementing the ideas further. Working with Therese has been great, and I look forward to working with her again in the future. Thank you for your time and fabulous ideas."
