Event description

Description

Especially for students, interns, apprentices and new entrants to the lighting profession! The Institution of Lighting Professionals invites you to this FREE, fun, friendly evening talk held at The Shed, London:

HOW TO BE BRILLIANT with Smoke & Mirrors

by Graham Rollins and Ingo Kalecinski at GNI Projects

Graham and Ingo will be finishing off our 2017 HTBB series with their amazing talk on being brilliant with Smoke & Mirrors.

They are two London based lighting designers and light artists who founded GNI Projects in 2009. Since then, the team have completed a series of light art installations for festivals in Germany, England and France with a permanent project viewable in Davos, Switzerland. The team have also enjoyed a number of successful collaborations with music and fashion industry professionals, and most recently won the ‘Art-Low Budget’ award at the Darc Awards 2017.

In many of their works, they deliberately try to simplify each element as much as possible throughout the design process, striping the physical design back to form follow function principles. Their works strive to create an element of interaction between a piece and the viewer.

Join them and the rest of the How To Be Brilliant team in London on Thursday 30 November.

Hope you can make it!

FREE to attend, FRIENDLY and ALL welcome!

Doors open at 6pm; the talk starts promptly at 6.30pm, followed by complimentary drinks. Doors close at 9pm.
