How to beat your inner critic, imposter syndrome and perfectionism.

About this event
In a world full of doubt and uncertainty, make sure you don't add your own voice to the chorus.
How you speak to yourself matters. Creativity and entrepreneurship takes a large amount of self belief, yet there are always obstacles along the way. Mastering your inner critic can allow you to spend less time fretting and overthinking and more time focusing on your goals.
In this session Georgia from Out Of Hours (the community for people with side projects) is teaming up with certified coach Ellen Donnelly from The Ask to discuss the reasons why we self-criticise, and hold ourselves back, and to offer you a list of practical exercises we use to stop this self sabotage.
We'll be focusing on:
- Perfectionism
- Negative self talk
- Fear of Failure (+ fear of success!)
- Comparison
- Imposter Syndrome
We'll be diagnosing these unhelpful mindsets we all find ourselves in, and offering strategies to help you recognise them, and prevail in your creative projects and ventures, in despite of them.
This is a session designed for side projects, but the content is just as relevant for creatives and entrepreneurs - as we all have negative patterns we fall into.
Can't wait to see you there!
