Event description

Description

The Science Council hold the Professional Registers for Professional Registration as a Scientist independent of discipline. The Operational Research Society (ORS), hold a Science Council licence to award Chartered Scientist status allowing Operational Researchers and Statisticians to become ‘Chartered Scientists’. The Chartered Scientist scheme is excellent professional development for GORS and GSS analysts, as it allows you to demonstrate a certain level of technical expertise, independent of discipline. The Science Council have kindly agreed to come in to talk to all GORS and GSS analysts who are interested in becoming a Chartered Scientist – they’ll talk through what the prerequisites are, how to make an application, and what the CPD requirements are following registration.
