Frequently asked questions
We'll cover the basics of Programming, 2D graphics & 3D Modelling; just enough to understand the different roles and how they come together. Whatever your speciality & whatever your level, you'll be able to pick up essential skills & gain insights that will help you pursue a career in Video Games
This session is open to anyone, and we'll include a lot of practical exercises, but there is a lot of theory involved, if you think your kids have the passion for it then bring them along, but if you just want to give them an introduction to games development, we do shorter events for pre-teens.
Daniel has over ten years consulting clients on game development; we'll be using a case study as an example, but we're happy to tailor strategies to existing concepts & you can use our templates to craft your own personal Game Design Docs as long as you're willing to share your idea with the group.
That's fine! We'll use a case study from the design workshop & recap the process of world building, game design principles & narrative design too. We do this so you also get an idea of what it would be like working in a company with a designer, where you're given parameters to work around.
We'll demonstrate how game design focuses on the decision making, understanding the player experience & managing the project around its best selling points, while developing includes design, but is also the creation of game assets, programming mechanics, implementing sound or animation & the process
