Book Launch: How to Change the World by Craig Dearden-Phillips MBE

Are you a third sector and social enterprise professional? Are you interested in social enterprise and how it's changing the world through social and environmental impact?

You are warmly invited to join us for an evening with Craig Dearden-Phillips MBE, social entrepreneur and author, who shares insights into this process from across the social sector, as featured in his new book How to Change the World.

The evening will include a presentation by Craig Dearden-Phillips, plus ways in which you can help your social enterprise thrive in today's world. There will also be time for Q&A and networking with light refreshments.

Signed books will be available at a discounted rate!

NOW CONFIRMED: Sonia Shaljean from Lads Need Dads

Sonia, Managing Director and Founder of Lads Need Dads, set up Lads Need Dads after seeing that many of her male clients shared a common factor of either an absent, unsupportive or abusive father. Sonia will speak about her leadership experience, how books like Craig's have helped and how pursuing further education supports her efforts.

Who should attend? If you’re a charity or social enterprise leader, or if you just have an interest in how business can make a difference, don’t miss this free event, hosted by 3rd Sector Futures from the Business School at Anglia Ruskin University, and Anglia Ruskin Enterprise Academy (AREA).

Craig Dearden-Phillips MBE is an author and entrepreneur who has already published an excellent book on social enterprise, based on his early career starting and leading a Cambridge-based venture (now called Voiceability). Since then he has started Stepping Out, a consultancy service for public sector services which are starting new enterprises in local government, health, and other areas. Craig has spoken at previous 3rd Sector Futures events, offering insight into leadership and management for social mission-driven organisations.

3rd Sector Futures and Anglia Ruskin Enterprise Academy (AREA) are based in the Lord Ashcroft International Business School at Anglia Ruskin University. 3rd Sector Futures bring together academics and practitioners to make a positive contribution to management practice in charities and social enterprises and to increase the wider understanding of the sector and its impact.

AREA provides students from all Faculties with a quality portfolio of enterprise and entrepreneurial activities. Linked with real-world experiences, AREA encourages entrepreneurial thinking and behaviours that will be invaluable to their future careers, whatever they may be. Both teams support the Business School to ensure our world-class research has real social impact with global reach.
