Description

The London prep school landscape has changed hugely in the past two decades, with new schools proliferating and a much more diverse choice than parents faced previously. Every school promises individual attention, extra-curricular opportunities and outstanding leavers’ destinations.

Amidst this noise, how do you find the school where your child will thrive? Philip Lough will look at the different criteria that you should consider and suggest how to narrow your search. He will share his insights and nuanced understanding of the London prep schools to help you identify the ‘right’ school for your child.

About Philip Lough:

Philip Lough is the former Head of Westminster Under School, and in the last two decades he has held headships and senior posts in prestigious prep and public schools. Prior to Westminster Under School, Philip was the head of The Hall School in Hampstead and Windlesham House School in West Sussex, and before that he was a Housemaster and languages teacher at Marlborough College, Wiltshire.

Philip is a former ISI school inspector and since 1998 a governor of various state and independent schools. He is a trustee of an educational charity promoting good practice across the primary sector, for both maintained and independent schools. Philip was educated at Sherborne School (where he was a scholar), and Trinity College, Oxford, where he read Modern Languages. Philip received his PGCE from Durham University.
