How to Create a Budget for your Voluntary Organisation
Event Information
About this event
Please note that this session is for individuals, small charities and community groups in the Royal Borough of Kingston, and neighbouring boroughs only.
This training course will cover the fundamentals of budgeting. It is based on planning your budget for the next 12 months, including a method for full cost recovery (to ensure that you include all of your costs!) and pricing theories. The subjects covered will be generic and therefore suitable for small groups.
• Groups with complex business models should not book on this course and should contact KVA for support if required.
Outcomes
By the end of this session you will be able to:
• work out salary calculations
• understand and establish 'Full Cost Recovery'
• include the impact of inflation
• set a budget that supports your cash flow.
Who should attend
This session is ideal for Trustees, paid staff or volunteers who are involved in developing budgets for a small voluntary organisation, that they can also use in making applications to funders.
Cost
This event is free to voluntary organisations based in Kingston upon Thames, and £30 to those in neighbouring boroughs.
Unfortunately, the event is not open to people outside of the local area.
