About this Event

How To Create Tech Products Customers Love

This workshop is designed for Product Managers/Product Owners, Product Leaders (GPM/Director/VP Product) and Startup Co-Founders from Technology-Powered Product Companies that want to dive very deep into the product roles and learn the leading edge practices from the world's best technology product teams. We discuss techniques from Product Discovery, Lean Startups, Design Thinking, Agile, and Customer Development.

We will discuss the modern product manager and product leader roles in-depth, along with the dynamics of a strong product team. We'll discuss how we come up with a powerful and compelling vision and product strategy, and we'll discuss how empowered product teams determine what they need to build in order to deliver business results. We'll discuss in-depth the techniques that product teams use to discover and deliver disruptive products, including how we tackle the major risks of value, usability, feasibility, and viability, and how we use both qualitative and quantitative methods to address those risks.

The workshop will be delivered personally by Jon Moore, Product Partner of the Silicon Valley Product Group.

Over a 20-year career, Jon has built and scaled high growth product teams across multiple different consumer verticals, including communications (Skype, MSFT), media (Guardian and BBC) and marketplaces (Trainline, Hailo).

Prior to joining SVPG, Jon was most recently Chief Product Officer at Trainline, a PE-backed business, where he built and led Product, Design, Data Science and Research to secure significant consumer growth. Trainline floated on the London Stock Exchange in June 2019 in one of the UK's biggest IPOs of the year

At Skype, Jon led the organization’s highest profile platform, helping to grow the mobile user base from 10 to 100 million as part of a transformational era, during which Skype was sold to Microsoft for a then-record $8.5B.

He continues to advise multiple organisations, both big and small and coaches the next generation of product leaders and businesses to strongly embrace high velocity outcomes via discovery-led, hypothesis-driven techniques and processes.

The session will be conducted via Zoom from 1 pm until 4:30 pm GMT (8 am until 11:30 am EST), for four consecutive days, Monday, 24 May through Thursday, 27 May.

The instructor will be conducting virtual office hours at the end of each session to address any additional questions from the day's content.

NOTE: Please be warned that this is an intense 4 days. It is designed for technology product people that are serious about becoming exceptional at their job. We will use every minute of the sessions, and your head will be spinning. Our intention is to provide the single best learning opportunity in the world for aspiring product managers and leaders. These sessions have always sold out with a long waiting list, so please don't sign up to take a spot unless you are serious about your career in product and willing to work hard to improve your skills. If you're not sure it's for you, talk to someone that has attended a session.
