About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Join us for an evening of film, conversation and insight at PLP Architecture’s new studio in Whitechapel - designed with circular design principles.

We’ll open the event with the premiere of The Architect Series by THE PLAN – a new 30-minute film that explores PLP’s studio culture, design ethos and the thinking behind our new workspace. The screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with Founding Partners Lee Polisano and Ron Bakker, studio designer Michael Polisano, and Dr Ana Gatóo Lecturer in Regenerative Design at the University of Westminster and COO at Cambridge Transformation Labs, moderated by THE PLAN’s co-founder and editor Nicola Leonardi.

Together, they’ll unpack the design challenges, sustainability strategies and cultural ambitions that shaped this project – one that reused 92% of materials, saved 175 tonnes of CO₂ and offers a replicable model for circularity in the built environment.

The event is hosted by PLP Architecture, THE PLAN and Iris Ceramica Group.

What to expect:

  • An exclusive film screening offering behind-the-scenes access to PLP’s practice and studio.
  • A candid panel discussion exploring the real-world application of circular design principles.
  • Reflections on how architecture practices can lead industry change – and what’s needed next.
