Adobe illustrator is a brilliantly flexible digital creation tool that can be used for print work or screen based designs. This workshop is all about giving you the knowledge and skills to create designs and artworks from scratch. You'll learn a whole load of industry standard practices as well as how to recreate some of the visual effects you see being used today. It would be great if you had previous knowledge of some adobe software but it is not essential for this workshop.
You'll learn how to set up the software so it is specific to your ability and needs then we'll look at how to set up files for different types of jobs. Once we've covered that, it will be on to the fun stuff of getting into the creation tools to make some simple artworks. Then we will be taking a load of visuals from professionals and recreating the effects and styles so you can see how easy it is.
The final section is all about creating outputs whether you need it to be taken to a printer, saved as a pdf or exported in a lossless format you'll learn how to save your work out for every occasion.
At the end of this workshop you should have a solid understanding of the software and have the ability to set up, design and export visuals by yourself.
The workshop will be taught by Ryan McLeod, you will need a laptop with Adobe Illustrator already installed.
*Tea and coffee will be proivded but please bring a packed lunch or there is a sandwich shop close by*
