Event description
Are you working on a poem but you're unsure how to take it to the next stage? Then this is the workshop for you.

About this Event

Come along to this fun and interactive poetry workshop with Charlotte Lun to experiment with developing your editing skills, learn how to constructively critique each other's work, and take your writing to the next level!

Through a variety of exercises, discussion, and feedback, you will explore how to cut unnecessary words to give your poem more power, learn techniques to fine-tune rhythm and flow as well as how to choose the perfect title for your piece!

Your poem will be circulated amongst the attendees via email so they can make notes before the session and prepare to offer feedback. Charlotte will offer tips on how to critique a piece of work to help with this. Thorough feedback of everyone's poems will also be prepared by Charlotte to share at the workshop.

Please send one poem to charlottelunnpoet@outlook.com once you have booked your place and no later than a week before the session.

Throughout this course, you will learn...

  • How to edit your poetry including, word-count, rhythm and flow
  • How to offer critique to peers in a constructive way
  • How to improve your own writing
