It all starts with the maps.

This webinar will show teachers how to use National Library of Scotland Maps and Historic England map & photo packs, to help identify key sites, buildings and themes, as a starting point for planning a local heritage study, with a particular focus on change over time

The session, presented by Martin Phillips, from Historic England’s Heritage Schools Programme, will include:

• Introduction to how to use NLS Maps to discover more about the history of the area around your school
