Event description

Description

Interested in starting something food related?

The food and health market is booming. But with so many innovative food businesses coming to the scene, how do you make sure yours breaks into the market?

We've got a really exciting event with some special guests who've escaped the city to start their own food ventures. They'll be sharing their startup stories and the lessons they've learned along the way.

Come along to hear from:

Moju Drinks - stocked in Harrods, Waitrose, the Esc cafe and more, Charlie and Rich's affordable cold pressed juices are taking the market by storm. They'll be sharing how they grew their business from Charlie's mum's kitchen and their van Pamela, to a proper office they call their own.

CLAW - Back in 2015 Fabian discovered that, Britain exports approximately 80% of its crab to the rest of Europe and even Asia, so taking out the middle men and dealing directly with fishermen he founded CLAW to ensure London can access the best of the UK's crab and lobster. Having done markets throughout London, festivals across the UK and pop-ups at various restaurants and bars, CLAW's permanent takeaway spots can now be found in the City.

Karma Cans - Fresh, delicious, local and sustainable lunches delivered to your desk. In 2014 Eccie and Gini Newton started Karma Cans as a hobby that grew into a business, they now deliver lovingly made lunches from their kitchen in Hackney across central London every day.

Doisy & Dam - Ed and Rich wanted to make a product that truly matched health and indulgence with high-quality organic chocolate from the Dominican Republic, and superfoods. Their range of chocolate can be found in over 400 locations across the country, and they smashed their fundraising target by 200% by raising £300,000 through crowdfunding (whilst mentoring on Escape's Startup programme).

Dash Water - Alex and Jack wanted to encourage people to start drinking more water and stop throwing away deliciously-wonky fruit and veg. Both from farming backgrounds, they'd seen first-hand just how much produce never even gets to our plates, so in 2016 they founded Dash - 'British sparkling water infused with wonky fruit & vegtables' and they're now stocked in Selfridges, Planet Organic & Daylesford.
