Since 31st December 2020, the drone regulations have seen significant changes with the introduction of 3 categories and the removal of the Commercial element. In certain circumstances, you can now use a drone for a commercial purpose without the need for an expensive course and practical flight test.

As an experienced drone operator and previous Police drone remote pilot, I have put together a 2-hour presentation to help you understand the new regulations and learn how to fly your drone safely. I will be hosting the online presentation and covering the following subject areas:

• New EU regulations adopted by the UK

• Types of restricted airspace

• Different types of drones

• Where you can fly

• Effects of weather on your drone

• Basic drone maintenance

• Police powers

The presentations will be limited to 10 participants to allow time for engagement and questions at the end.

The course is aimed at persons new to the drone industry and looking to understand the rules and regulations to be able to fly legally and safely.
