Description
A Workshop that provides the opportunity to explore and learn of the various routes for funding a photography project and how to successfully market photographic skills as a business. Participants are invited to bring their portfolio and an ongoing project and will receive tailored advise and strategies. The Workshop teaches basic useful skills of grant writing, pitching, crowdfunding, social media presence, sponsorship, collaborations and negotiatiosn, marketing photographic skills.
The Workshop is led by photojournalist Cinzia D'Ambrosi, who has received funding and commissions from a variety of bodies includind the Arts Council England, Big Local Trust, Hammersmith United Charities, Amnesty International, National Theatre to name a few.
A follow-up portfolio review is offered to all participants within 6 months from participation in any of the workshops attended.

Cinzia is an award-winning independent photojournalist and documentary photographer. Her work focuses on issues of state and power, structural violence. Cinzia has covered complex investigations including the workers exploitation in illegal coal mining in China, the systematic marginalisation of the Roma communities in Europe, hidden homelessness in the UK, structural violence against refugees and asylum seekers. She provides visual and written content to a number of editorials and often works in collaboration with NGO’s, charities and institutions. She has received an Award from the Photographers gallery (2017) for her series ‘Hate Hurts’. "Best Campaign" Award (2016) for her short film ‘Prejudice and us’ from Hammersmith United Charities, a Nomination for her photo book ‘Transitional’. Among other accolades, she was an Arts Council England grant winner with her project ‘Greetings from the estates’, and recently her series 'Hate Hurts' was selected for the Bulgarian Photography Month. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Best option is to travel to Shepherd's Bush tube station, it is a short walk across the large crossing to the West 12 Shopping Centre opposite the station. Enter the double doors and proceed up the escalator to the first floor. Petit Miracles will be on your right.
What can I bring into the event?
A pen, paper, laptop, photographic project or idea in progres
