Employers have always preferred to hire known candidates and avoid the rigmarole of advertising roles. Now many recruiters are further scaling back open hiring. Instead they use sourcing teams to reach out to potential hires, often via LinkedIn.

Smart candidates need to spend less time applying for jobs but work harder to make themselves easy to find for the roles they are targeting.

In this panel webinar we will explore how recruiters now use talent acquisition teams to identify candidates, what they look for in a profile and how to maximise your chances of being “sourced”.

Becoming findable

Making your profile findable for is a two-stage process.  First you need to consider what criteria sourcers use to find candidates and how you can optimise your profile to appear in relevant searches.  The webinar covers:

  • The growing talent acquisition hiring model and what it means for both active and passive candidates
  • How sourcers balance must-have vs nice-to-have attributes
  • What it takes to make a sourcer's “long list” of approved candidates
  • Why your job title may be preventing you being found

Creating a “sourcer-friendly” profile

Turning up in search results is only half of the battle.  Both active and passive candidates need to understand how sourcers read and assess your profile once they find you.  We will discuss:

  • How your profile is read and where you should focus most
  • Where your profile can differ from your CV and where it must match
  • What sourcers regard as red flags
  • How much detail you should add to your profile

We will also look at some lesser known LinkedIn features which can help:

  • How you can use LinkedIn data to test profile changes
  • How passive candidates can nonetheless signal they may be open to offers
  • The settings you need for stealth job hunting

Gabriella Snoeck (Executive Search Consultant) is a Senior Executive Recruiter with over 15 years'experience recruiting for both retained executive search firms and Corporate HR/Talent Acquisition departments. She has a legal background, speaks eight languages and has recruitment expertise at the executive level across many sectors.
Dee Clarke (former Head of EU Campus programmes, Amazon) is former Senior Manager and Head of Campus Recruitment at Amazon, with over 15 years’ experience in the HR and careers sector. She has previously worked at Bank of America, ESADE (as Director of Career Services) and Goldman Sachs.
