Event description
Laura Sutherland will delve into her learnings about creating, recording and launching a podcast show

About this Event

Podcasts are back and they are on the rise!

From listening to shows when driving, running, walking, dog walking or even when cooking, podcasts are a convenient way to learn, hear from specialists on chosen subjects and get motivated.

After reading blogs, speaking to other podcasters and learning by trial and error, Laura has made the mistakes of podcasting and has learned from them. She launched "People buy People" in the summer and knows that there are many people who want to take the leap, but don't know how to get started.

There's a fine line between quantity vs quality vs time to publish and Laura Sutherland, Chartered PR consultant and Fellow of the CIPR, will talk through the steps to creating, recording and launching a podcast.

This will be an interactive session so bring questions with you.

We'll broadly cover the following:

1. Equipment

2. Interviews

3. Hosting

4. Editing

5. Show design and brand

6. Launch

Suggested level: student up to account manager

VENUE: Glasgow to be confirmed later in the year.

Ts and Cs:

1. Any questions or specific requests in advance of the session.

2. We need a minimum of six people per session in order to run the training (unless otherwise stated).

3. Places can be transferred to a colleague but not refunded or transferred to another training session.

4. Invoices can be raised on most sessions, but must be paid within 48 hours of booking, to secure your place. Please contact Laura Sutherland to organise an invoice, in the first instance.

5. It is essential when booking, that the names, titles and emails of those who will actually be attending the session, are entered – not just the name and email of the person booking. This is so we can determine the level and sector of the attendee to make the session as relevant as possible.

6. If you have a complaint, please raise the issue at the session so an early resolution can be reached.
