How to go for Gold in your Career and Personal Life
Event Information
Description
Join Annika Zeyen, triple Paralympic medal winner and learn how a ‘success mindset’ and winning attitude can help you achieve triumph over adversity. Annika will share her inspiring story on how she overcame a horseback riding accident at the age of 14, which left her paralysed. Annika’s love for sports led to a successful professional wheelchair basketball career. Not only did she win the European Championship multiple times and won silver twice at World Championships, but she is also taken part in four Paralympic games and won two Silver (Beijing and Rio) and one Gold medal (London) for Germany. On top of her achievements in sports, she has studied graphic design on a basketball scholarship in the US and earned multiple academic achievement awards despite playing for her university’s wheelchair basketball and the German National Team at the same time. After she graduated, she started working as Design Project Coordinator at the International Paralympic Committee while still playing wheelchair basketball in the German League and for the German National Team. Come and get a first-hand insight into how top athletics train for success in work and life.
Following Annika's talk, we will host a wine and snack reception to allow the audience and speaker to mingle and network.
This event is free but requires registration.
