Description

How to Hack Your Own Life - using eurythmy as rescue remedy

A talk and Workshop with Hanne Kristiansen Risvik

Talk - 7.30 pm Friday 1st December

Hanne will give a short introduction to when and why eurythmy appeared in the public domain in relation to other art forms showing up on the world stage at the same time.

  • What is eurythmy? The basic principles and ideas of eurythmy?
  • How does eurythmy relate to life?
  • And how does eurythmy relate to death?
  • Why do eurythmy?

She will relate these themes to elements in various myths from around the world, give glimpses of ancient symbols that are highly relevant for today, show illustrations from Celtic rock carvings and Neolithic cave paintings mirrored in Norse medieval art and European church art and bring some examples from our immediate surroundings.

Workshop - 10 am to 4.30 pm Saturday 2nd December 2017

We will explore the themes from the introduction on Friday, and go in-depth with simple exercises, using music and speech to some of them.

We will investigate certain geometric forms to better understand their influence on our lives.

We will work with exercises that enhance our life quality and can strengthen balance, focus, harmony, well-being, concentration, awareness, co-ordination, self-confidence & confidence in general, stimulating creativity and action.

There will be time for Q & A both days.

No previous skills needed. Bring comfortable warm socks, or soft shoes, and a notebook.

Hanne Kristiansen Risvik is married, with six children, three St.Bernhard dogs and two cats, living in a fairy tale forest in Norway filled with foxes, moose, rabbits, birds of all kinds, wolves, boars, deer and badgers.
