Description

Stop arguing and start listening

Do you yearn to handle difficult conversations with calmness and expressing your feelings in a meaningful way? Then stop arguing and start being a keen listener? We all get into arguments especially with our loved ones but sometimes the arguments can escalate to a point where anger takes over and that's when the conversations become difficult. Do you remember a moment when you uttered words and regretted later? Do you follow an inflexible attitude that does not lead to a fruitful conversation? Are there moments you used words that do not build your spouse? How about your body language when talking to your spouse? How do you handle difficult conversations? Do you bury issues under the carpet and hope that they will not suffice again? Well, most fights and arguments can end in a meaningful way if only we can learn some techniques.

Please do join us in a lively and vibrant group class where we use stories and our experiences to teach you some key elements on:

  • How to void putting off a difficult conversation.

  • The vocabulary and expressions to use to start a meaningful conversation.

  • How to face difficult conversations with certainty.

  • When and where to have a difficult conversation.

  • Strategies to use during a difficult conversation.

  • The mindset of a problem solver.

We shall take you through the various ways to sustain a good and open attitude for solving conflicts.

Materials used

As the founders of Motivat School of Marriage and Life we have done a lot of research and authored three books relating to the marriage relationship: 1) Tuning Your Relationship to Last a Lifetime 2) What She Needs to Blossom and 3) How to be a Nurturing Husband. We also currently launched an online training platform where people can access our recorded videos and audio training as well as exercises and transcripts. They are found here:

https://motivatschool.com/online.html

We shall use Emotional Intelligence and our well researched, proven materials that have been used to train spouses from all over the world. This is a general class about communication where we share insights and ideas of about how to deal with difficult conversations while respecting each other's opinions and feelings.

At the end of the training, the students should be able to leave with a deeper understanding how to become a good listener, how to be an encourager, how to watch on the body language and ways to handle difficult conversations and the pitfalls to avoid if the communication channel is to remain alive.

How are the classes?

In our lively and vibrant classes, you get acquainted with the best ideas which are applicable and useful in your daily lives. We encourage you to share in a relaxed and humorous environment and to reflect on your own viewpoints and beliefs while respecting the others in the like-minded group. We allow students to share in open discussions with other people which makes our programs highly rated and liked. It gives you an opportunity to learn and understand things that you do not learn at school.

We make the classes exciting by using a combination of knowledge transfer, thinking and sharing, using stories, jokes and sometimes music to drive the points home. The classes are offered by the founders and well-trained teachers of the Motivat School of Marriage and Life. Each class offers space for 40 participants and is given in English.
