About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The Big Solar Co-op is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation that installs solar arrays on large rooftops at no capital cost to the host site. This is funded through a rolling community share offer and tax efficient bonds. Host sites all over the UK can benefit from clean, cheaper energy at a steady price and our investors receive a fair return for supporting our work. We collectively already own 12 operational projects on a range of commercial and community sites that are generating around 6MW of electricity per day!

Check out our Live Solar Monitor to find out more about generation and impact. From factories to schools, leisure centres to steelworks, golf clubs to community centres, we have over 40 sites signed up and ready to build over the next 2 years. By buying shares or bonds you can help us to get them built - and have a significant impact on community solar in the UK.

We are running our first tax efficient bond offer on Ethex to fund the development of Whiteborough Solar Park, a 3.5MW project in Nottinghamshire that will use a mix of recycled and ethically sourced solar panels. Sharenergy and Big Solar Co-op CEO, Jon Halle will talk us through both offers and discuss the impact of this type of investment in community energy.

Please be aware that by registering for this free webinar, you consent to Big Solar Co-op adding you to their email mailing list where you will receive occasional updates on progress, community energy-related news and how you can get involved. If you would like to be removed from this list, you can remove yourself at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly on info@bigsolar.coop

The Big Solar Co-op is a Co-operative Society registered with the Financial Conduct Authority. no. 4877. See our record on the FCA Mutuals Register
