How to Make a Cushion Workshop

Cushions are an easy and inexpensive way to change the look of your décor.
You will learn how to make a cushion cover with a piped edge. You can choose from a zip back or an overlap back cushion opening with a button fastening. Master the adjustable zip foot to insert piping and learn which order to sew everything together. You will be making the cover from your own fabric, so that it can complement a particular room at home.
You will make and complete a cushion during the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children age 14 upwards.

Our workshops are small, the maximum number for this class is 6 to ensure you get the personal tuition you need to help with your project and get the best out of the workshop.
Skill Level: Some previous sewing experience will be helpful
Duration: 2.5 hours
A 40cm (16”) cushion pad
0.5m of fabric
2m contrasting bias binding
2m piping size 4
A zip 35cm long
Sewing thread to match your fabric
Sewing equipment: scissors, pins, tape measure
Sewing machine (We do have a limited number of sewing machines at The Stitch Mouse if you would prefer to use one of ours, please book early and call the shop to reserve your machine. They will be booked on a first come first served basis.)
Refreshments and biscuits are included.
Discount: A special 10% discount voucher is also included. This can be used once in store with any purchases.
Cancellation: If you cancel within 28+ days of the course date then 50% of the course fee is payable. If you cancel within 0-27 days of the course date then 100% of course fee is payable. In both instances, if we are able to fill your place we will refund your course fee, less £3 administration fee.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are no parking facilities at the shop but you are welcome to drop your machine off and then go and park your car. The nearest car park is in The Ashley Centre, Epsom.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Tickets are non transferable.
