The answer is ‘yes you certainly can…and you might even have fun doing it!’

Join us in this interactive Spark session, including a breakout session to network with other community members, exploring:

  • Networking myths that put many people off
  • What networking really is
  • Practical tips to become a more effective networker
  • Discussion on what’s been shared including participants sharing strategies that have worked for them

Neil’s Bio

Neil Munz-Jones published The Reluctant Networker in 2010 with a 2nd edition in 2016. He has given 80+ talks on the topic at events for employees, business owners and young people.

As the title of his book suggests, he is not a natural networker and yet he has found a way that works for him and that has allowed him to be his own boss and build a consulting and coaching business over the last 20 years while doing no advertising.

So, he is keen to spread the word that networking (done properly) really does work, whether you are out of work, in a job or run your own business. And it can even be enjoyable!

In addition to his talks on networking, Neil is an SME owner, running a consultancy mdj2 that he founded in 2005. He is a certified Executive Coach and a mentor for both Be the Business and The Kings Trust.
