How to make the most of your PhD: Thinking of your career early (targeted for Year 1 and 2 doctoral researchers)

The main focus of your PhD will be on researching your field and producing a thesis, but this is not all you can get out of your time at SOAS. The job market is challenging both in academia and outside, and so it is a good idea to start preparing early. This workshop looks at other aspects of a PhD and how you can use your experience to enhance your longer term prospects. It will also consider some of the factors people need to reflect on when choosing a career.
