Hello!

We are delighted to invite you to our How To Manage Your PRS Account and our How To Make Your Music Pay events, taking place on 12th June at Fruit in Hull.

How To Manage Your PRS Account - This session will take you through key areas of our website, demonstrating the essential functions you will need to carry out to get the most from your PRS membership

How To Get Your Music Played & Paid - This panel session will be discussing topics such as the importance of locking down your business, understanding and protecting your rights and the various ways making music can make an income.

The topics we will be covering are:

  • PRS for Music overview
  • Member Homepage overview
  • How to register or amend works
  • How to search our works database
  • How to report performance usage
  • How to claim unpaid royalties

8:00pm – 9:15pm: Panel – How To Get Your Music Played & Paid

Evolution or revolution, the music industry is changing. Maybe you’re self-releasing or helping a mate book some live shows, managing your own band or managing someone else’s, handling the socials or building a promo campaign, writing the songs, creating the beats, sitting in the studio or running around on stage, whatever you’re doing, it’s crucial that you understand the way the industry works. Otherwise how can you make it work for you?

The panel will be discussing topics such as the importance of locking down your business, understanding and protecting your rights, the various ways you can get your music heard, funding for artists, and the difference revenue streams available to songwriters and artists in the digital age.

This event is run in partnership with Warren Records & the Warren Youth Project and is free to attend but numbers are limited so please ensure you book a space if you wish to attend.
