About this event

  • 1 hour

Join us every week for a free online cancer support group hosted by Life after Cancer. This week, we'll be discussing how to manage your fear of cancer recurrence.

If you're experiencing an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety around cancer recurrence, you are not alone. Fear of Cancer Recurrence (FCR) is one of the most common worries we hear about in our post cancer community and can have a huge impact on day-to-day functioning, work, mood and quality of life.

Understanding how to manage fear of recurrence can help you feel more confident and secure moving forward in your life after cancer.

During this session our coach will begin with an open group discussion where we invite you to discuss your own concerns and resources that work for you.

Our Coach will then cover 5 techniques to help you navigate and manage your fear of recurrence that include -

  • Understanding your triggers
  • How to communicate effectively
  • Prioritising wellness
  • Looking ahead to the future
  • Where to find additional support

Who is this for? This is for anyone who has finished cancer treatment and is looking to improve their mental wellbeing.

Organised by

Life After Cancer brings people together who have finished cancer treatment with an aim to increase their wellbeing. The support they receive reduces the risk of serious mental distress and helps them to build a positive life after their cancer experience.

The groups are facilitated by Steph Davies, an ICF trained coach, NLP Practitioner and Mental Health First Aider. She has her own personal experience of cancer treatment. After completing chemotherapy for Hodgkins Lymphoma, Steph realised that the world was a very different colour post cancer. Cancer shaped her life so she created Life after Cancer to support others in shaping theirs.
