Moving teams from TFS to VSTS can be a challenge. In this workshop we will share our experience in moving teams, of various sizes, into the cloud.

• The steps we used to move 40 teams to VSTS, using a simple tool that we developed for the process
• How to visualise your data before you move it – to help identify opportunities to refresh and improve the process

• How to approach two step migrations from TFS 2010 or 2013
• How long does it take to move a team?
• What are the likely ‘gotchas’ and challenges? and how to avoid them
• How to use the move as an opportunity to refresh your Agile process
• How to use the API for the highest fidelity of transfer.
• Moving code, test scripts and other artefacts
• Dealing with attachments
