This session runs for two hours with a screen break in the middle.

Networking is one of the main ways that freelancers find work and keep in the loop. But how do you network without coming across as pushy? Does it matter how you come across on Zoom? (Yes!) And does networking only suit extroverts? (No!)

In this 2-hour workshop we look at ways to engage with people who don't know you, and how to plan your approach to meetings and events whether face to face or online. We'll also look at how important social media can be in supporting your other networking.

There will be plenty of interaction and we'll be demonstrating how networking is really about helping people to get to know you.

Who's the trainer?

David Thomas has been running his famous 'setting up as a sole trader' courses for redundant staff for 15 years. Clients include the BBC, ITV and indies. David understands what you're going through. He set up his own small business after 22 years of employment at the BBC.
