About this event
Come join artist Russell Walker for a masterclass in organising a solo exhibition. No matter how big or small your exhibition plans may be, or how experienced you are, you’ll gain an insight into what it takes to create your own show.
Russell Walker [AKA: Fetchaset] is a leading light in the visual arts industry and his seductive graphic images, lateral ideas and strong distinctive style have assured his popularity with advertising, design and publishing agencies across the globe for almost 40 years. Selective clients include BBC, British Airways, EMI Records, Harley Davidson, Hasbro Europe, IBM, Lacoste, La Perla and M&S; winning many awards along the way.
In this masterclass, Russell will be discussing all the elements needed to create a successful exhibition. From initial idea to delivery, Russell will guide you through timescales, contingency plans, logistics, printing and hanging your work, to finding a space that works for you whilst enjoying the process of putting on your own solo show.
This FREE session will take place at The Coningsby Gallery and you’ll be able to view Russell’s current exhibition on show. There will be plenty of time to view the work on display, as well as have your questions answered; so come join Russell and The Big Draw team for an inspiring session that’s not only informative but will get your creative juices flowing.
This event is sponsored and supported by Derwent who are the Official Art Material Partner to The Big Draw Festival 2022 - Come Back to Colour. You can find out more about Derwent and their brilliant range of drawing materials at derwentart.com
