Join us in Manchester for a half-day workshop on how to start organising at work and make the most of trade union membership.
Trade unions exist to use the collective strength of workers in order to win better terms and conditions at work. Come to the session to learn about organising techniques, the barriers to organising and how to overcome them.
This event is ideal for those looking to get more involved in their union or seeking to organise at work.
We will have sessions run by:
Willie Howard - Unite Organiser
Barry Faulkner - Unite Political Education
Shakeira and Nakub - Unite Hospitality Village Hotel, Glasgow
Chaired by:
Oliver Probert Hill - Unite NW Service Industries Branch
There will be a free lunch provided and Unite NW Service Industries members can claim expenses for travel and/ or childcare. Please submit expense claims, along with your membership number and your payment details to chris.neville@unitetheunion.org
The Mechanics Institute is a historic trade union building in the centre of Manchester. For details of how to get there, please check this link.
This event is open to any worker looking to organise their workplace through a trade union. We also encourage you to bring along a colleague even if they are not a member of a union. Please book a spot for them as well when you reserve yours.
