About this Event

What makes a great pitch? How can I get my idea the backing it deserves? What will help me step up to the next level?

Pitching is an essential life skill. Getting your point across counts. Understand how to capture attention and sell your idea at ScreenTalk Oxfordshire’s first online event, How to Pitch: Persuade and Connect, on Wednesday 27th May.

This session is aimed at filmmakers who want to communicate persuasively.

The Pitch Film Fund has been developing emerging filmmakers within the UK for 10 years through a competitive pitching process. Luke Walton and Pete Sinclair show us how to get the core of your story across with genre and character, how to practise pitching in everyday life, avoid pitfalls and how to respond to feedback.

This session is for anyone who wants to get better at the art of pitching - from those starting out to execs looking to refresh themselves on best practise.

The session will cover

- Pitching best practice

- Funding opportunities you can apply to in the UK
