How to practise self care: a Mindfulness Taster Session

About this event
The session is open to all GCU Students to find out more about the act of Mindfulness. Mindfulness is one of the many ways in which we can practise self-care for our mental health and wellbeing.
Regular mindfulness practice experience can:
- Help address procrastination
- Build motivation
- Decrease anxiety, low mood and irritability
- Lower levels of stress
Those who are interested will be able to sign up at the session for the free 8 week course with student wellbeing. We will be hosting this session both on campus, and via a live stream of the session.
On Campus Attendance
Please wear a mask to the session , social distance, and bring your own towel or yoga mat to participate in the session. Windows will remain open in the classroom.
Please note the campus session will be live streamed for students to attend online. The session will not be recorded.
Online Attendance

What to expect
We'll introduce some simple yet powerful techniques that can be incorporated into our daily lives to help cope with stress and increase feelings of contentment.
