Getting your pricing right is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding parts of running your business.
In this session, we’ll show you how to price your products and services in a way that will increase demand and provide you with greater financial freedom.
We’re delighted that pricing expert Ben Johnson of Ten Percent Better will be sharing his extensive commercial expertise and his pricing manifesto, along with practical tips and strategies you can implement immediately.
In session, we’ll be exploring the following questions and more:
- What do businesses get wrong about their pricing?
- Is pricing an art or a science?
- How to you price your products and services based on value
- Should I have a different pricing strategy based on whether I'm a start-up or a mature business?
- If a potential client says my prices are too expensive, what can I do to overcome this?
- How often should I review my pricing?
To ensure you get maximum value from the session and give you lots of quality strategies and tactics, we’re prerecording an interview with Ben which we’ll be releasing on our dedicated CIPD London You Tube Channel within our CIPD Central London Freelancers Group playlist shortly. During this session, we’ll be asking you to share your experiences and inviting you to think through some of the key aspects of your pricing strategy with your fellow freelancers and consultants. We really want you to develop a support network of like-minded individuals, so we’ll be encouraging you to connect with other freelancers and consultants during the session.
This is part 2 of a 4 part series designed especially for freelancers and independent consultants. We’re running these sessions to engage, inspire and motivate you during these challenging times.

Please note:
- Webinar joining instructions will be sent to you 2 days before the event (with further reminders 2 hours prior to the session and 10mins prior to the session).
- The webinar will start at 09:30 and run for about 90 minutes.
- We will record the webinar and will share will people afterwards. We will be using the recording to upload it to CIPD channels.
- The chat function will be used for participants to engage with the webinar, rather than audio and video, so just be mindful of the login name you use and ensure you are happy for other people to see this.
- Professional photography and video production may be taking place at the event, and these images and videos may be used on future promotional materials for CIPD.
