Tue 1 November 2016, 11:00 – 12:00 GMT
Peter Riley has been a writer for over thirty years and is the award-winning, international best-selling author of over 200 science books for children and teachers. He now writes full-time, having previously been a Biology teacher then later the Head of Science of a large comprehensive school in Accrington.
This interactive talk about how a non-fiction book is made will include young volunteers taking the part of the different roles involved including author, editor and picture researcher and a discussion about the types of books young people might like to write and techniques they could use.
