Event description

Description

Workplace mediation can be the solution to some of the most intractable and risky situations in the workplace. This practical session is aimed at all those who have to deal with the problems when work or business relationships go wrong. It will give you the confidence to know when workplace mediation is an option, and how to make it work.

Illustrated with role play examples, the session provides a dissection and analysis of how mediation can work, and what can make it fail. The session will address the key issues including:
• How to identify when mediation is an option … and when it isn’t.
• When you really need an external mediator.
• The importance of liaison between HR and the mediator.
• How to achieve the right outcome.
• How the HR professional can work with the mediator to maximise the chances of a successful outcome.

With a combination of practice and theory, you will be equipped to achieve cost-effective and practical outcomes for your business, and minimise the risks. This session offers you solutions to some of the most intractable and difficult problems, which HR managers can face.

This session is suitable for those involved in HR at all levels, from students to Board Directors.
