Description

What is it?

Whether you are a visual, digital or performing artist or craftsperson (indeed however you define yourself), responding to a creative brief or applying for an artist’s opportunity has always been competitive but with less opportunities and funding being more and more stretched, you could find your proposal is one of hundreds.

So how do you make sure that your proposal stands out and makes it onto the YES pile?

Join Sandy Kirkby and Sally Watkins for an informal session looking at how to write a good proposal that will keep the selectors engaged.

Who is it for?

This workshop is for Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole based artists, makers and creatives only.

What will you go away with?

Tips on ways to streamline and describe your ideas and present them in the best possible way - top tips for writing a good proposal to help keep your proposal in the mix.

Sandy Kirkby is Freelance Curator and Producer for b-side

Sally Watkins is Freelance Curator and Social Engagement practitioner, b-side

They have been on selection panels for many open calls for b-side and other regional arts organisations – they have seen and read thousands of proposals. Their informal and warm style is underpinned by their generosity and experience as arts practitioners for over 20 years.
