Event Details

Selling handmade goods online may seem easier than standing all day at a windy market stall in the rain - but to be successful you have to do more than just upload a photo and a description.

This Makerhood workshop will give you the insider information you need to help you excel at online selling. We'll cover:

  • The pros and cons of selling online
  • An overview of the main sites (Etsy, Folksy, Not on the High Street)
  • The top five aspects you need to think about (including photography, tagging, shipping)
  • Focusing on your ideal customer
  • Q&A
Speakers include Sinead Koehler of Crafty Fox, Rachel Stanners of Prickle Press, and Karen Martin and Kim Winter, directors of Makerhood.

Please bring along an item you have made that you would like to sell (or a photo if it's too large to bring!), as we will be doing some practical exercises to help you work through the process.

Entry is free to Makerhood Makers' Club members, £5 to non-members. Students of Morley College get a discount fee of £2.50 - bring your membership card on the evening.

Makerhood is a social enterprise that promotes the work of local makers in Lambeth. Click here to find out more about the Makers' Club and how to join.
