How to Sell to the MOD and Export Defence Products
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) are visiting the Hampshire
region to engage with small and medium sized businesses.
This event will describe the many procurement opportunities
available and how to become part of the supply chain of the
The MOD spends approximately £14 billion a year procuring
a wide variety of products and services to support the Armed
Forces, both on operations and in peace time. In addition to
complex military equipment requiring highly specialist suppliers
and leading edge technology, the MOD also procures more
ordinary ‘commodity’ items including:
Food for ration packs, Estate and facilities management,
Stationery, Fuels and utilities, Clothing, Furniture, Medical
supplies & Consultancy services
There are very few products that the MOD may not have a
requirement for, either directly or indirectly, at some stage.
Less than 25% of SME’s actively export goods and services.
DIT DSO will provide information on the current defence
exporting opportunities and the support available for UK
NDI, part of EEF, is a membership supply chain and business
development organisation. Its mission is to provide intelligence
led business development opportunities to members. NDI will
explain how it works with companies to match and source
business opportunities and facilitate introductions.
